Big Sky Takes Center Stage: Lone Peak Film Festival Returns September 17–20

Big Sky comes alive on screen this September as the Lone Peak Film Festival returns September 17–20 for four days of inspiring stories, independent filmmaking, and community connection.

Featuring 21 films, the festival offers an intimate opportunity to experience uplifting cinema at the Waypoint—and, in many cases, meet the filmmakers themselves. Nearly every film will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker, giving audiences a chance to go beyond the screen and hear the stories, ideas, and creative journeys behind each film.

The festival extends beyond the films, too. Free public panels offer opportunities to hear directly from artists and filmmakers, while the festival’s opening ceremony at Len Hill Park is free and open to the community.

Whether you’re a longtime film lover or simply looking for something meaningful and unique to do in Big Sky, the Lone Peak Film Festival is an opportunity to gather with neighbors, discover powerful stories, and connect with the people who bring them to life.
