Prost, Big Sky! Oktoberfest Returns This Weekend for Three Days of Bier, Brats & Bavarian Fun
Dust off your lederhosen, grab your favorite dirndl and get ready to raise a stein—Big Sky Oktoberfest returns to Town Center Plaza September 18–20, 2026, bringing three days of German tradition, Montana spirit and plenty of fall fun to the heart of Big Sky.
The annual celebration features German bier from Paulaner and Ayinger, bier-simmered brats, currywurst, giant pretzels, live DJ entertainment, Hammerschlagen, Stein Holding competitions, football on the big screens and activities for the whole family. And the best part? Proceeds support youth sports programs right here in Big Sky.
This Year’s Schedule
Friday, September 18 | 3–10 PM
Kick things off with Opening Night, featuring German food and bier, live DJ entertainment and Stein Holding competitions at 6 PM and 7:30 PM.
Saturday, September 19 | 12–10 PM
The main event brings an all-day Biergarten, college football on the big screens, Hammerschlagen throughout the afternoon, Stein Holding at 6 PM and 7:30 PM, and music into the evening.
Sunday, September 20 | 11 AM–5 PM
Bring the whole crew for Family Day, with pretzels, games, NFL football on the big screens and plenty of laid-back Oktoberfest fun. Kids and leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome!

Admission is $10 per day for ages 16+, or grab a three-day pass for $25. Kids under 16 get in free.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at bigskyoktoberfest.com, or at the gate throughout the weekend. Food, bier and merchandise are available for purchase separately at the festival.
